:: Alpaca Wool Quilt Advantages ::
· Alpaca is Light Weight per square Metre
· Alpaca fibre has one of the highest thermal ratings known
· Alpaca fleece has a Thermal Rating tested at 90 plus 380gm/square metre – sheep wool is around 80
· Alpaca Quilts are 80% Alpaca Fleece and 20% Sheep Wool
· Can be aired on clothesline without movement
· Alpaca fibre will absorb only 7% moisture.
This means that the Alpaca Quilts will not attract moisture even when kept in a damp room
· Alpaca Quilts can be used in the warmer parts of Australia, not just
in the cold climates
· When making the bed, throw the quilt in the air to hold loft, this gives the Quilt better thermal qualities.
